RTRS: US RATE FUTURES-See 50 bps Fed cut on weak Sept jobs
CHICAGO, Oct 3 (Reuters) - U.S. short-term interest rate futures held onto earlier gains on Friday and continue to point to an aggressive Federal Reserve rate cut this month after a weaker than expected September payrolls report.
Futures fully price a 50 basis point cut to the fed funds rate at the October Fed policy-setting meeting.
Non-farm payrolls fell in September by a much larger than expected 159,000, the biggest monthly decline since March 2003. (Reporting by Ros Krasny, Editing by Walker Simon)
