NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. natural gas inventories rose 66 billion cubic feet in the week ended July 31, the Energy Information Administration reported Thursday. Analysts at IHS Global Insight had projected an increase of 50 billion cubic feet. After the data, natural gas for September delivery fell 19.7 cents, or 4.8%, to $3.847 per million British thermal units on Globex. It was down less than 1% before the data.
