WSG Vedanta Resource revises terms of Asarco offer

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Miner Vedanta Resources (UK:VED 1,816, +25.00, +1.40%) said Tuesday that it has revised its offer to acquire Asarco, reducing the value of a copper price participation deal to $208 million, from a previous level of $770 million. The company will also offer $1.59 billion in cash. The consideration was changed to reflect an increase in copper prices and to meet the expectations of creditors, the firm said.
