MW : Natural-gas futures extend fall after EIA data
 
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Natural-gas futures extended their decline on Thursday after the government reported that working gas in storage rose 52 billion cubic feet during the week ended Aug. 14. IHS Global Insight projected a storage build of 55 billion cubic feet. After the data, September natural-gas futures hit an intraday low of $2.993 per million British thermal units. The contract was last down 7.80 cents, or 2.5%, to $3.04 per million British thermal units. Before the data, the contract traded down 1% at $3.085.
