LONDON (MarketWatch) -- European shares declined on Thursday, down for the second straight session. Drinks giant Diageo (UK:DGE 996.50, 0.00, 0.00%) (DEO 64.29, +0.79, +1.24%) was one of the worst performers, down 4.4% after reporting fiscal-year results. ON the plus side, hotels group Accor (FR:AC 35.00, +0.60, +1.73%) jumped 10.4% after it said that it may spilt its businesses up and also reported results. The U.K. FTSE 100 index declined 0.1% to 4,885.15, the German DAX index fell 0.3% to 5,505.12 and the French CAC-40 index traded flat at 3,667.90.
