MW : Euro-area leading economic index climbs in July
LONDON (MarketWatch) -- The Conference Board's leading economic index for the euro area increased 1.6% in July to 97.4, following gains of 1.4% in June and 1.8% in May. Five of the eight components contributed positively to the index this month. The Conference Board Coincident Economic Index for the euro area, a measure of current economic activity, declined by 0.1 percent in July to 101.0.
