Oil prices posted a modest rise, tracking a Wall Street stock rebound and amid geopolitical concerns as key producer Iran test-fired missiles ahead of talks over its nuclear program.
New York's main contract, light sweet crude for November delivery, rose 82 cents from Friday's close to $US66.84 per barrel.
London's Brent North Sea crude for delivery in November gained 43 cents to $US65.54 a barrel.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold for December delivery gained $US2.50 to settle at $994.10 an ounce, while silver lifted 13.5 US cents to $US16.195 an ounce.
December copper futures fell 1.35 cents to $US2.727 a pound.
