BLBG: Gold Pares Gains in New York After Reaching Record for Third Day

Oct. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Gold pared gains in New York after reaching a record high for a third straight day.
Gold futures for December delivery rose $4.20, or 0.4 percent, to $1,048.60 an ounce at 10:17 a.m. on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. Earlier, the price fell as much as 60 cents after gaining as much as $15.20 to a record $1,059.60.
