RTTN: Dollar Drops To 4-day Low Against Euro And Swiss Franc
(RTTNews) - The US dollar pared its previous sessions' gains against major currencies on Monday morning in New York.
The greenback slumped to a 4-day low of 1.4802 against the European currency by 10:00 am ET, compared to last week's close of 1.4722. On the downside, support is likely to be seen around the 1.483 level for the buck.
Against the Swiss franc also, the dollar plunged to a 4-day low of 1.025 at this time and this may be compared to Friday's close of 1.032. The next downside target for the greenback-franc pair is seen around the 1.022 level.
The dollar also drifted lower to 89.71 against the Japanese yen and 1.5846 versus the pound during this period from its Asian session highs of 90.47 and 1.5731, respectively. The greenback was worth 1.5843 against the sterling and 89.82 versus the yen at Friday's close.
