ENM: Crude oil futures extend gain on firm global cues
NEW DELHI: Crude oil futures prices extended gains for the second straight day by adding 0.72 per cent on Thursday on sustained buying by traders
influenced by a firming global trend.
At the MCX, crude oil for current October contract gained 0.72 per cent to Rs 3,478 per barrel with business turnover in 1,632 lots. It had gained 1.14 per cent in yesterday's trading.
Similarly, crude oil for delivery in November contract inched up by 0.63 per cent to Rs 3,501 per barrel with business turnover in 292 lots.
Analysts said sustained buying by traders, influenced by a firming global trend helped crude oil prices to trade high at futures market.
Meanwhile, New York's main contract, crude for November delivery soared to $75.15 per barrel.
