New Delhi, Oct 16 Prices of copper and nickel fell by Rs 2 per kg on the non-ferrous metal market in the national capital today on emergence of selling by stockists influenced by a weakening trend at the London Metal Exchange.
Marketmen said selling pressure gathered momentum following reports of a weakening trend in base-metal prices at the LME on recovering dollar.
Copper for delivery in three months at the London Exchange fell one per cent to 6,225 dollar and nickel by 0.3 per cent to 18,750 dollar a tonne.
In the national capital, copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap which remained in demand last few trading session, fell by Rs 2 each at Rs 314, Rs 335 and Rs 294 while nickel (4x4) traded lower by the same margin at Rs 875-985 per kg.
