Indian rupee slumped against the greenback in the early trades on Tuesday tracking losses in some regional stock markets but losses in the dollar versus major units prevented a further slide.
Asian stocks gained after Ford Motor Co. reported an unexpected profit, a gauge of US manufacturing topped analyst projections and gold prices rose. Hong Kong`s Hang Seng index declined 21.56 points, or 0.10%, to trade at 21,598.63 while China`s Shanghai Composite increased 32.56 points, or 1.06% to trade at 3,109.21.(
