MW: U.S. stock futures pare losses after jobs data

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stock futures eased back on mild losses after data had fewer than expected Americans applying for weekly jobless benefits. "The trend continues a moderation in the pace of firings with the level of hiring being more uncertain," said Peter Boockvar, equity strategist, Miller Tabak. Down about 30 points earlier on, futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average was lately off 15 points at 10,244.00. S&P 500 futures slid 2.1 points to 2,094.20, while Nasdaq 100 futures declined 3.5 points to 1,780.25.
