MARKETS-FOREX/YEN (URGENT)
NEW YORK, Nov 16 (Reuters) - The dollar fell to a session low against the yen on Monday, erasing a brief rally, as investors digested comments from Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke and decided they signaled no change in monetary policy.
The dollar also erased gains against the euro, with the euro zone single currency trading back at levels seen before the head of the U.S. Federal Reserve began speaking.
The dollar was last down 0.6 percent against the yen at 89.15 yen, the session low. The euro was last up 0.3 percent at $1.4962, nearer the session high than the session low.
The dollar had pared losses after Bernanke said the Fed -- the U.S. central bank -- is attentive to changes in the dollar and the Fed's mandate will help ensure the dollar remains strong. (Reporting by Nick Olivari; Editing by James Dalgleish)
