NEW YORK, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices held under $79 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange Tuesday morning, after a weak dollar propped up prices Monday.
December delivery of light, sweet crude bounced up to $78.90 per barrel overnight, before dropping down again to $78.51 Tuesday morning. The dollar on Monday lost ground against the euro and the yen.
Heating oil prices added 0.0018 cents to $2.0302 per gallon. Reformulated gasoline prices lost 0.0078 cents to $1.979 per gallon. Natural gas prices rose 0.017 cents to $4.631 per million British thermal units.
At the retail level, gasoline prices fell. The average national price for unleaded gasoline at gas stations was $2.627 per gallon Tuesday, down from Monday's $2.631, AAA said.
