Maine energy officials said that home heating oil has droped to $2.55 per gallon, a one penny reduction over last weeks numbers.
According to the Governor's Office of Energy Independence and Security, inventories remain high and oil markets remain relatively stable. Additionally, priced of crude oil has leveled off between $75 and $80 per barrel.
The energy office survey shows heating oil prices ranged from a high of $2.85 per gallon in northern Maine to a low of $2.25 per gallon in southwestern Maine.
