RTTN: Dollar Mixed Ahead Of US Weekly Jobless Claims Report
(RTTNews) - The Labor Department is due to release its customary weekly jobless claims report for the week ended November 28th at 8:30 AM ET. Economists expect claims to have increased to 483,000 in the recent reporting week.
The U.S. Labor Department is also scheduled to release its final report on third quarter non-farm productivity and unit labor costs at 8:30 AM. The consensus estimates call for an 8.5% increase in non-farm productivity and 4.2 percent decline in unit labor costs.
The US dollar showed mixed trading against its major rivals ahead of the reports. While the greenback advanced against the yen and the pound, it held steady against other major currencies. Currently, the dollar is worth 0.9977 against the Swiss franc, 1.5123 against the euro, 88.15 versus the franc and 1.6625 per pound.
