NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stocks reconsidered early Thursday gains after the ISM services composite index fell to 48.7 in November, worse than anticipated. Up about 40 points ahead of the data, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDU 10,424, -28.34, -0.27%) fell 7.7 points to 10,444.90. The S&P 500 Index (SPX 1,109, +0.03, +0.00%) was up less than 1 point at 1,110.02. The Nasdaq Composite (COMP 2,190, +5.46, +0.25%) gained 9.73 points to 2,194.76. |
