MADRID (MarketWatch) -- European stock markets opened higher on Monday, amid lower volumes with London stock markets closed for a holiday. The German DAX was last up 0.7% to 6,000.91, while the French CAC-40 was up 0.7% to 3,938.85. Most sectors were in the black, with technology and utilities leaning higher. Among shares on the move, Infineon (DE:IFX 3.86, +0.04, +0.92%) was up 2.4%, SAP (SAP 46.86, 0.00, 0.00%) (DE:SAP 33.29, +0.66, +2.01%) was up 1.8%, Inditex (ES:ITX 43.69, +0.69, +1.60%) was up 1.6% and E.On was up 1.4%. |
