MW: Crude, gold lower as investors await jobs data

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Crude and gold futures traded lower Friday as investors await the Labor Department to report last month's jobs data. Analysts said it's possible that in December the U.S. economy created more jobs than it lost for the first time in nearly two years. Crude for February delivery was down 0.4% at $82.36 a barrel, and February gold lost 1.1% to $1,121.30 an ounce.
