NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Continental Airlines (CAL 21.11, +0.49, +2.38%) said Thursday its unit costs, or costs per available seat mile, are expected to climb between 3.5% to 3.1% in 2010 to a range of 11.08 cents to 11.13 cents. For the first quarter, the Houston-based carrier projected unit costs to rise between 5.7% to 5.2% to a range of 11.11 cents to 11.16 cents a mile. The company posted its predicitons on its website without commentary.
