MW: Crude oil futures add to gains after U.S. data

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Crude oil futures added to gains on Thursday, after reports showed an index of leading U.S. indicators rose in December, while a business index for the Philadelphia region fell. Crude oil for March delivery was up 40 cents, or 0.6%, at $78.15 a barrel, compared with $77.92 ahead of the data.
