AP: Gold falls 2 pct to 2010 low as dollar strengthens
LONDON, Jan 21 (Reuters) - Gold prices fell nearly 2 percent on Thursday to $1,089.75 an ounce, their lowest level this year, as the dollar's rise to a near six-month high against the euro dulled the precious metal's appeal.
Spot gold was last bid at $1,091.55 an ounce at 1622 GMT, against $1,111.10 late in New York on Wednesday. Silver also fell nearly 3 percent to $17.39 an ounce against $17.87.
