MW: Energy stocks fall with crude prices, broad market

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Energy stocks fell with the broad market on Monday, as crude futures dropped below $75 a barrel on jitters tied to China and Japan. Among the major energy stock benchmarks, the NYSE Arca Oil Index (XOI 1,040, -8.46, -0.81%) dropped 1% to 1,037. The NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index (XNG 544.57, -4.39, -0.80%) dropped 1.3% to 541. The Philadelphia Oil Service Index (OSX 199.42, -0.52, -0.26%) subtracted 1% to 198. Baker Hughes (BHI 46.86, +2.27, +5.09%) rose 3.6% to $46.20. Weatherford (WFT 16.25, -1.48, -8.35%) dropped 8.5% to $16.25. Peabody Energy (BTU 46.36, +0.93, +2.05%) rose 1.1% to $45.91.
