RTTN: US Dollar Up Ahead Of January Consumer Confidence Report
(RTTNews) - The Conference Board will release its consumer confidence report for January at 10.00 AM ET. Economists expect that the consumer confidence index rose in January to 53.5 following 52.9 reported in December.
The Richmond Fed's manufacturing survey results for January and the US house price index for November are also due out at the same time.
The US dollar remained firmer ahead of the reports. Currently, the greenback is quoted at 1.4055 against the euro, 89.6 versus the yen, 1.048 against the Swiss franc and 1.613 versus the pound.
