- India has imported 35-40 tonnes of gold during January 1-27, up from 9.8 tonnes in the whole of the same month last year, the head of a trade body said today.
- The Indonesian unit of U.S. oil major Exxon Mobil expects peak crude oil production of 165,000 barrels per day (bpd) from its Cepu block to be delayed until the end of 2013, a company official said today.
- China's top 22 refineries will process 560,000 barrels per day more crude oil this year than 2009, a survey of industry sources and media reports has shown.
- Japan's weekly crude oil stocks stayed below seasonal norms last week, falling 1.3 percent from the previous week, as refinery throughput ticked up, but weak sales suggest production may begin to fall in February.
