NEW YORK, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices opened higher on the New York Mercantile Exchange Monday morning, climbing above $73 per barrel.
March delivery light, sweet crude opened at $73.10 per barrel Monday, up 22 cents. Heating oil prices gained 0.009 cents to $1.922 per gallon. Reformulated gasoline prices dropped 0.014 cents to $1.8993 per gallon. Natural gas prices added 0.232 cents to $5.363 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline dropped to $2.669 per gallon Monday from Sunday's $1.674, AAA said.
