RTTN: Indian Rupee Slides From 2-week High Against Dollar
(RTTNews) - During early deals on Thursday, the Indian rupee declined from a 2-week high against the dollar as a drop in regional stocks raised concerns about capital outflows.
Currently, the BSE Sensex is trading at 16,346.66, down 148.69 points or 0.9% and the S&P CNX Nifty is drifting lower by 43.80 points or 0.9% to 4,887.75.
At 11:05 pm ET, the rupee touched 46.1375 per dollar, down from a 2-week high of 45.7650 hit at 7:45 pm ET. As of now, the dollar-rupee pair is worth 46.10 and if the Indian currency weakens further, it may target the 46.23 level.
