ENM: 10-yr bond yield at 1-month high on rate view
MUMBAI: The yield on India's 10-year benchmark bond rose to its highest in a nearly a month on Wednesday as traders positioned themselves for improved inflation data.
At 2:39 pm, the yield on the benchmark 10-year bond was at 7.78 per cent, after hitting 7.79 per cent its highest since Jan. 12. It had ended at 7.70 per cent on Tuesday. Dealers said the absence of follow-through buying was pushing bond yields higher.
