LONDON (MarketWatch) -- European shares edged lower on Thursday, snapping a three-session run of gains, with Dutch chemicals firm Akzo Nobel (NL:AKZA 39.99, -2.68, -6.27%) down 7.4% and consulting firm Capgemini (FR:CAP 31.00, -0.69, -2.16%) down 3.3% after reporting earnings. Overall, the U.K. FTSE 100 index declined 0.2% to 2,569.54, the German DAX index lost 0.2% to 5,635.88 and the French CAC-40 index declined 0.2% to 3,718.63. |
