NEW YORK, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices dropped overnight on the New York Mercantile Exchange, but clung to a perch above $77 per barrel.
March delivery light, sweet crude lost 32 cents to $77.01 per barrel in advance of the Energy Information Administration's weekly inventory report delayed this week due to Monday's national holiday.
Heating oil prices also fell, down 0.0128 cents to $1.9939 per gallon. Reformulated gasoline blendstock prices lost 0.0075 cents to $1.9996 per gallon. Natural gas prices dropped 0.059 cents to $5.327 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline was $2.614 per gallon Thursday, up from Wednesday's $2.608, AAA said.
