BLBG: U.S. Stocks Fluctuate as Commodity Producers Drop, Banks Gain

Feb. 22 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. stocks fluctuated as commodity producers fell amid declines in industrial metal prices, while banks gained on speculation the Federal Reserve will signal plans to leave its benchmark interest rate at a record low.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index slipped 0.1 percent to 1,108.21 at 9:45 a.m. in New York after gaining as much as 0.3 percent. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 2.8 points, or less than 0.1 percent, to 10,399.55.
