NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Energy stocks rose for the fourth straight day on Wednesday. The NYSE Arca Oil Index rose 0.5% to 1,044 points. The NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index (XNG 547.30, +1.86, +0.34%) advanced 0.4% to 548. The Philadelphia Oil Service Index (OSX 208.78, +2.44, +1.18%) rose 0.9% to 209. Efforts by Greece to issue a new austerity plan helped the buying mood in the sector, as well as crude prices breaking through the $80 level.
