COM: Copper, the lone shining star pulling the Base Metal rally
AHMEDABAD (Commodity Online): Copper was the star of the base metals complex on Monday globally as it shot higher in the face of a stronger Dollar and a mixed performance by the overall commodity sector.
Copper future strength helped to pull other base metals higher particularly when it cleared 400 marks tracking firm bull rally from last few months.
MCX Copper for three-month February delivery increased by 0.80 percent to 402.70 per kilogram in opening hour of morning session.
Industrial metal prices are trading upbeat on international market today. “I am expecting Copper to extend its bull rally till 315 rupees tracking optimistic overseas leads and a strong rupee moment in coming year,” said Amrita Mashar, analyst with Commodity Online.
