Rupee gained for a sixth straight session on Tuesday (07 December 2010), rising to its highest level in more than three weeks, on the back of broad losses in the dollar versus majors, while some corporate dollar sales also aided.
Rupee ended at the day's high of 44.64/65 per dollar, its strongest since 12 November 2010, and 0.7% above 44.95/96 at close on Monday.
