RTTN: Indian Rupee Recovers From 8-day Low Against Dollar
(RTTNews) - The Indian rupee that declined to an 8-day low against the U.S. dollar in early deals on Friday rebounded shortly as traders reacted to India's industrial production data, which showed a rise in October.
India's industrial production rose 10.8% year-on-year in October, the Commerce & Industry Ministry said today. In September, output was up 4.4%.
Manufacturing output increased 11.3% followed by 6.5% rise in mining and 8.8% gain in electricity production.
The rupee that fell to 45.3550 against the dollar earlier is currently trading at 45.2150.
