GX: European Stock Markets Edged up: Gold prices jumped
The European stocks market climbed on Monday trading session, as some deals were announced by China and Chain clarify its economic policy that helped reassure investors about growth prospects.
At Mon, Dec 13, 2010, 5:49AM EST, the FTSE 100 index surged +40.60 points or +0.70% to close at 5,853.55. The DAX index advanced +21.77 points or +0.31% to close at 7,027.94 while the CAC 40 index also went up +25.95 points or +0.67% to close at 3,883.30.
In order to boost the US conglomerates presence in the oil and gas sector General Electric announced a deal of $1.3billion with Wellstream Holdings Plc.
According to the data from Bank published on Sunday, the bank’s total exposure to Ireland and the Southern region of the euro zone second quarter was greater than previously thought.
