RTTN: Dollar Edges Up Ahead Of U.S. November Retail Sales, PPI Data
(RTTNews) - The US Census Bureau will release its retail sales report for November at 8:30 AM ET. Economists project the total retail sales increased 0.5%, and sales, excluding autos rose 0.6% during the month.
The U.S. Labor Department will release its report on producer prices for November at 8:30 a.m. ET. Economists expect the headline index to rise by 0.5% and the core producer price index to show 0.2% growth.
Ahead of the data, the US dollar edged slightly higher against its major counterparts. The greenback is presently trading at 1.3437 against the euro, 83.13 versus the yen, 0.9620 against the Swiss franc and 1.5828 against the pound.
