European stock market preformed better in after hour trading session and remained bullish at the end of session.
The FTSE 100 index jumped +60.19 points or +1.02% to close at 5,951.80. The DAX index rose +59.39 points or +0.85% to close at 7,077.99 while the CAC 40 index also went up +42.41 points or +1.09% top close at 3,927.49.
The Deutsche Bank AG on Tuesday accepted that it was engaged in criminal activities and agreed to pay $553.6 million in a settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice in a tax shelter case.
Omega Navigation Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ:ONAV) owns and operates a fleet of six double hull panamax (LR1) product tankers and two Ice Class 1A double hull handysize (MR1) product tankers, jumped 12.38% with the closing price of $1.18. Its 52week low was $1.03 and 52week high remained $3.50.
The Hang Seng index climbed +133.30 points or +0.58% to 23,127.16. The Straits Times went up +10.66 points or +0.34% 3,150.51 whereas the Nikkei 225 index dropped -3.34 points or -0.03% to 10.367.19.
In Hong Kong on Tuesday trading session, Air China shares up 1.2%, China Eastern jumped 2% and Cathay rose 0.5% whereas China Southern dropped 0.7%.
The metal stocks advanced in China after sharply rose in the prices of base metals on the London Metals Exchange and copper hitting new record highs on Tuesday session, but banks remained under pressure as investors continued to worry about rising inflation and the risk of near term rate hike.
The Japanese electronics giant announced that it will swap one Sanyo share for 0.115 Panasonic share, and one Panasonic Electric Works share for 0.925 Panasonic share effective.
According to the Ministry of Finance, Japan’s trade surplus narrowed from year-earlier levels in November, as import growth greatly outpaced the rise in exports.
The banking and real estate shares also attracted buyers on expectations, Mitsui Fudosan rose 3.2%, Mitsubishi Estate jumped 2.9% and Mitsubishi UFJ FG was added 1.4%.
Gold prices slipped 0.01% at New York session to $1,388.20. The yellow metal (Gold) opened the day at $1,388.
Crude oil price at New York Mercantile climbed +0.25% to close at $90.07 per barrel on the latest data.
