IST: Dollar edges lower in upper 82 yen level in thin trading
TOKYO, Dec. 27, 2010 (Kyodo News International) -- The U.S. dollar crept lower in the upper 82 yen level in thin Monday trading in Tokyo, with China's interest rate hike over the weekend having a limited impact.
At 5 p.m., the dollar fetched 82.75-77 yen, against 82.82-92 yen in New York and 82.96-98 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday.
It moved narrowly between 82.65 yen and 82.98 yen during the day, trading most frequently at 82.95 yen.
