NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Yields on 10-year Treasury notes (UST10Y 3.33, -.00, -0.06%) , which move inversely to prices, fell just 1 basis point in early trading Tuesday, to 3.33%. A basis point is one one-hundreth of a percentage point, while yields move inversely to prices. The minutes of the Federal Reserve's Dec. 14 meeting will be released at 2 p.m. Eastern time. Yields on 2-year notes (UST2YR 0.61, +0.00, +0.67%) were also little changed, down 1 basis point to 0.6%. At the same time, U.S. stock futures pointed to more gains Tuesday, after the Standard & Poor's 500 stock index (SPX 1,272, +14.23, +1.13%) gained 1.1% Monday.
