MW: Copper futures back at record, gold down nearly 2%

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Gold futures declined nearly 2%, and copper futures came back to record high Tuesday. Gold for February delivery was down $26.30, or 1.8%, to $1,396.50 an ounce. Copper for March delivery, which started the day down, gained a penny to $4.46 a pound.
