(RTTNews) - The Japanese yen edged sharply lower against its major rivals, barring the Swiss franc, on Tuesday morning in New York.
As of 10:25 am ET, the yen traded at 3-week low of 130.03 against the pound and a 4-day low of 83.50 against the US dollar, 84.17 versus the Canadian dollar, 63.40 against the NZ dollar and 107.90 against the euro.
The yen also declined to 82.23 against the Australian dollar at this time from its Asian session's 5-week high of 81.61.
