RTRS: Silver fixes higher, spot price eases a touch
* Silver fixes higher at 2,960.00 cents an ounce, compared with
2,954.00 cents at the previous fixing. Spot silver XAG= down
0.1 percent at $29.42 an ounce, echoing modest losses in gold.
Forward rates quoted on Reuters page SIFO at 0.546, 0.550,
0.560, 0.610 and 0.680 percent for one, two, three, six and
twelve months, respectively.
* Gold XAU= eases but still only showing 0.2 percent decline
on the day at $1,377.60 an ounce, as the euro sags against the
dollar, although robust physical interest from Asia helps stem
any protracted declines.
* Platinum XPT= is approaching the 26-month highs seen in
November, up 0.8 percent on the day at $1,780.24, while
palladium XPD= rises another 1.8 percent to $795.72.
