BLBG: Pound Gains as Weale Joins Sentance in Calling for Higher Interest Rates
The pound rose against the dollar after Bank of England minutes showed Martin Weale became the second policy maker to call for higher interest rates.
The pound rose 0.1 percent to $1.5835 at 9:33 a.m. in London after declining as much as 0.3 percent earlier. Sterling was little changed at 86.53 per euro.
