RTTN: Pound Drops To 2-day Low Against Euro And Greenback
(RTTNews) - U.K.'s sterling edged lower against its major rivals in late Asian trading on Friday, hitting a 2-day low of 1.5864 against the US dollar and 0.8643 versus the euro around 2:15 am ET.
On the downside, the pound may find target levels at 1.5840 against the greenback and 0.8650 versus the euro. The pound closed yesterday's deals at 0.8624 against the euro and 1.5930 versus the buck.
The pound also reached as low as 131.10 against the yen and 1.5006 against the Swiss franc around 2:20 am ET, down from yesterday's closing values of 132.12 and 1.5064, respectively.
If the UK currency weakens further, it may target support levels at 1.4970 against the alpine unit and 130.70 versus the Japanese yen.
