NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Gold futures headed back down and oil prices held onto small gains on Monday after a report said consumer spending in December rose 0.7% while incomes rose 0.4%. Gold for February delivery fell about 1% to $1,327.80 an ounce. Oil futures for March added 44 cents to $89.77 a barrel.
