RTRS:S.Africa's rand down 1.5 percent against dollar
JOHANNESBURG Feb 6 (Reuters) - South Africa's rand fell 1.5 percent against the dollar on Monday as uncertainty over a bailout for debt-ridden Greece dampened risk sentiment, hitting emerging markets.
The rand briefly touched a session low of 7.6344 to the greenback and was at 7.63 by 1028 GMT compared with Friday's close at 7.52. Government bonds extended losses, and the yield on the three year bond was up 7.5 basis points on the day at 6.505 percent. (Reporting by Stella Mapenzauswa; Editing by Olivia Kumwenda)
