LONDON (MarketWatch) -- European shares pulled back on Tuesday, with losses for financials offsetting gains for oil producers and automakers. In the banking sector, UBS (CH:UBSN 16.30, -0.04, -0.24%) shares fell 1.2% and Natixis (FR:KN 2.19, -0.31, -12.50%) shares fell 12.1%, giving back recent sharp gains. Overall, the German DAX index declined 0.1% to 5,411.93, the U.K. FTSE 100 index traded flat at 4,723.33 and the French CAC-40 index rose 0.2% to 3,510.95. |
