NEW YORK, Aug. 13 (UPI) --
Crude oil prices jumped on the New York Mercantile Exchange Thursday morning, climbing above $71 per barrel after stocks surged on Wall Street Wednesday.
Crude oil prices rose $1.44 to $71.60 per barrel. Heating oil prices added 0.0321 cents to $1.9242 per gallon. Reformulated gasoline prices rose 0.0248 cents to $2.0501 per gallon. Natural gas prices lost 0.009 cents, dropping to $3.47 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price for unleaded gasoline was $2.647 a gallon Thursday, up from Wednesday's $2.645, AAA said.
